Latest on eSIMs in Turkey! A Must-Read Before You Travel!

Planning a trip to Turkey? Still wondering about internet access? Then you absolutely need to read this! Recently, Turkey has tightened restrictions on eSIMs, making many popular providers unusable.

🚫 These eSIMs are Banned in Turkey!

According to the latest information from the Freedom of Expression Association (İFÖD), Saily, Airalo, Holafly, Nomad, Instabridge, Mobimatter, Alosim, and BNESIM are currently prohibited in Turkey. The Turkish Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) has implemented these restrictions to encourage travelers to rely on local Turkish operators.

🚨 Personal Experience Confirms: These Websites Are Blocked in Turkey!

Many eSIM provider websites are now inaccessible when you’re in Turkey. I personally tried Airalo and Holafly—not only couldn’t I install their eSIMs, but their websites were completely blocked. This really shows how effective these restrictions are!

✨ One Exception: Microesim is Still Going Strong!

While most eSIMs are out of luck, there’s good news! From my personal experience,Microesim’s Turkey plans can still be installed within Turkey! Although they recommend installation before departure, I used it for a two-day trip to Turkey, and the network was consistently smooth and reliable.

💰 Grab the Chance! Microesim Is Still Competitively Priced!

As of July 31st, Microesim’s eSIMs for Turkey are still competitively priced and can be installed locally within Turkey. It’s uncertain when these might also face restrictions, so if you’re interested in using an eSIM in Turkey, you’re encouraged to try Microesim soon! Otherwise, you might end up paying more for local Turkish SIM cards later!
